Straight out of the imagination of Patrick Moser, curator of the Villa « Le Lac » Le Corbusier, and freely inspired by the worlds of H.G. Wells and Jules Verne, we are very proud to have been mandated by Villa « Le Lac » Le Corbusier for the creation of the Time Machine.
The Villa « Le Lac » Le Corbusier, built in 1923 in Corseaux for the parents of the architect, is a little gem of ingenuity and functionalism. It’s inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as an “exceptional contribution to the Modern Movement”. It is in this idyllic setting, a theater of research and multiple experiments, that Patrick Moser drew his idea.
From past to modernity
How to make a visit to the site attractive, and not only to aficionados of the famous Swiss architect whose influence is measured on a global scale, but for students as well as the general public: the Time Machine is a source of inspiration for all museums and historical monuments.
Entirely implemented by our developer in charge of the project, Gaëtan Cretton, Time Machine is the result of close collaboration with the curator of the Villa, from the scenographic premises to the final visuals results.
What awaits you during your visit
Upon arrival, an iPad is handed out to the visitor. This device is a “window to the past”: with a lever you can change the destination date of your time-travel and immediately discover the 150 photos from 1925 to the present day. Interior rooms, the exterior, as well as the roof garden are all enriched with augmented reality content.
The experience is fun and interactive. The time traveler can thus experience the site as it was at different times. “We stroll, we take the time and we share these impressions” – Patrick Moser and his team follow your visit and embellish it with anecdotes specific to places and characters from another era.
An immersion in the history of a masterpiece of modern architecture.
“Time Machine is an extraordinary medium for cultural mediation. The project was carried out under exceptionally good conditions. Thanks to the unfailing responsiveness of the Immensive team”.
